Come together to learn, grow and celebrate with talented youth from across the country and beyond. Learn and share with your colleagues in music ministry, liturgy, theology, and youth ministry!
MMA believes that young people are in need of adult mentors and leaders who are remarkably committed to their success. Intentional efforts for collaboration among music directors, youth ministers, teachers, pastors and parents is vital.
MMA Adult Track is open to parish music and youth ministers, liturgists, pastors, music and religion teachers, catechists, campus ministers, volunteers and all who mentor, guide and form youth in ministry leadership roles. Important: participants in the adult track are NOT required to be musicians. There is no musical audition requirement for adult track participants. The only requirement for acceptance to the adult track, it that there must be at least one youth applicant from your community attending as well. There is no limit as to how many adult track applicants can attend from your community. Adult Track participants are not to be chaperones for the youth participants, so that they may fully experience the program themselves.
MMA Adult Track will have sessions separately and together with the youth participants, with a focus on theological and ministry development, and will provide strategies for effective music ministry programs, as well as to provide background, support, formation and strategies for you to more authentically welcome, involve and nurture youth in liturgical and musical ministry of the Church.
In addition to daily prayer, concert events, workshops and general sessions with the youth participants, topics and sessions for the adult track will include:
Theology and Scripture
Musical, Liturgical and Catechetical Resources
Repertoire Sessions with free samples
Skill Sessions for vocalists, keyboardists, and guitarists
